Hello all. I am wanting a Tattoo that says "forever alone"
The context of this is a person who will be a single person(no relationship) for ever.
Any help would be appreciated.

Also would it change if it was alone forever?

If you mean "myself alone" then, "i m'aonar go deo" which I would use. There are other possibilities: "ar m'aonar", and "liom féin" for "alone", and "go brách" for "forever".

Using the copula (is), you can emphasize a word or words: "(Is) i m'aonar a bheidh mé go deo", literally, It's alone that I will be forever. But "(Is) go deo a bheidh mé i m'aonar", literally, "It's forever that I will be alone" sounds awkward to me.

Wait for more input.

Thank you for your reply.
Can I just confirm that
i m'aonar a bheidh mé go deo
means It's alone that I will be forever.
If its going to be inked wanna make sure

I think we need to wait a bit for more input. Sorry it takes so much time but I imagine everyone is fairly busy at the moment.
And since it is for a tattoo, you should wait until you get at least two more confirmations of mine OR some other offerings and discussions on that translation.

I believe so. I'll look around and in the meantime, someone with more knowledge on that sort of thing should be able to help and possibly give a different translation, or confirmation, or . . . ?

Cheers,

Tim

Personally I'd prefer to put the verb at the beginning.

Beidh mé i m'aonar go deo (I will be alone forever)

or a phrase with no verb:
Liom féin go deo (alone forever)
