these are the basic patterns I've uncovered while working with students, arrayed just around the be verb. I hope ye can find them of use as I think having access to so many helps take away the fear and mystery surrounding the copula

This list is not exhaustive -I know I have more somewhere in my paper notes

As you can see, there are a lot of patterns we use in language everyday, but are not always so readily apparent

I will try to put as many as I can into Irish and I hope other people can help too
