I have a few questions about the words 'ribhéar' and 'inbhear'.
1. Are the two words related?
2. If so, does the part 'bhéar'/'bhear' linguistically constitute the same element in both words?
3. If so, what explains the difference between 'bhéar' and 'bhear'?
4. Is there (notwithstanding the presence or absence of a etymological relationship) a difference in meaning between 'ribhéar' and 'inbhear'?
Thanks in advance.
Happy holidays.
1) No, I don't think so,
ribhéar <- rivere (anglo-norm.) / river (engl.) <- riviere (old fr.) <- riparius (lat.)
inbhear <- in + bero (-> beir)
