Hello everyone
My name is Patrick, i was led here by another forum on tattoo translations.
I am half Irish, the good half that is..
and have always wanted to know more about where i come from besides New York.
I do listen to Celtic music, so if any one can make some suggestions that would be great!

p.s. i always wear green socks.

Patrick

Tánn is just a dialectal form of (a)tá; the phrase in a more Google Translate-friendly shape would be conas atá tú?, which doesn’t have to include going to the beach. ;)

Always wait for at least three people to agree on a translation, especially if it’s for something permanent.

My translations are usually GU (Ulster Irish), unless CO (Standard Orthography) is requested.

Tá failte romhat a Phadraig. (You're very welcome here Patrick).

It is exciting to hear that you might want to discover more about your Irish "1/2". Learning the language of your people
is a great way to do that. The language is a bit of a challenge but you will be thrilled to speak words that have long been
forgotten by your family. Ádh mór ort! (Good luck to you).
