Hello! I'm getting a trinity knot tattoo with "live a beautiful life" above it and was wondering if someone could help me translate this please?

Mair saol álainn would be a direct translation, but that sounds very odd to me. I don’t think it works.

I think in Irish, you’ll have to turn it around and instead say ‘live beautifully’ (which is really what ‘live a beautiful life’ means). Mair go hálainn sounds less strange to me, at least. Or caith do shaol go hálainn ‘spend/live your life beautifully’.

Always wait for at least three people to agree on a translation, especially if it’s for something permanent.

My translations are usually GU (Ulster Irish), unless CO (Standard Orthography) is requested.

"Caith do shaol go hálainn" as you said.
You could also say "Bíodh saol álainn agad". (standard Irish: Bíodh saol álainn agat).

Wouldn't it be better to say "saol breá". I'd rather use "álainn" to talk about people, especially women.
