But I think that has been deprecated in the CO.

which is stupid, because, as far as I know, all dialects prefix an h- in this case...

Just tried the test and couldn't understand past about 70. I got a 54% overall (Upper Intermediate). I'm very pleased with that. I just need to get my speaking ability up there as well. Don't have time to think when I'm speaking. Some of you have been with me from the beginning, so you can appreciate I know more Irish than I ever would have dreamed.

An mbíonn deis agad Gaeilg a labhairt go minic?
Sin an dóigh a gcuireann duine feabhas ar a chuid Gaeilge: fríd bheith ag labhairt (le daoiní a labhras níos fearr ná é féin) :)

Sin é go díreach, ní raibh mé ag caint mo chuid Gaeilge go dtí anois (bhí mé sna leabhartha), níl suim ar bith ag mo chairde (ach an cúpla focal leis an gcraic). Ach tá muinteoir Gaeilge agam anois agus tá mé in ann a labhairt le cúpla cara nua atá agam. Tá mo chuid Gaeilge ag éirí i bhfad níos fearr leis an cleachtadh.
