I am trying to make sure that I have translated my daughters name, McKinley, correctly in Ogham so I can get a tattoo of it. Could anyone give me a hand and double check my work to make sure it is correct? Thanks!

This is really a hard question because your daughter's name isn't in Irish. Also Ogham is a writing system, not a language, so you can't really translate anything into it.

What Red means is that McKinley is not a given (first) name in Ireland, although it is a surname (last name), and as I noted in another thread here just recently, there is no letter "y" in traditional Ogham.

The surname McKinley is primarily of Scottish Gaelic origin, rather than being of Irish origin, and is the usual Anglicization of the Gaelic surname Mac Fhionnlaoich, which means "descendant of the fair-haired [or blond] hero". However, McKinley is sometimes used as an Anglicization of the Irish name Mac an Leagha, meaning "son of the healer", although Mac an Leagha is usually Anglicized as MacAlee, MacLea, or MacClay.

Ogham is a writing system. So (almost) everything can be spelled using Ogham letters.

"McKinley" could be written with the Ogham letters:

MACCINLI (no K or Y is necessary)

There's a second possibility:
To translate the anglicised Gaelic surname "McKinley" back into Achaic Irish (the language Ogham was made for)
i.e.

MAQOS VINDOLAICI ("son of blond hero" - not really a girl's name )
