Dia daoibh aríst 'chuile dhuine. Táim ag cleachtadh an copula arú inné agus tá céist bheag a'm.

If I wanted to say Your father is a farmer I would say Is ferimeoir (é) d'athair. and if I wanted to say Isn't your father a farmer? it would be Nach ferimeoir (é) d'athair?.

Am I right in thinking that the é is not a must have for the sentences to be correct?

'maith agaibh

The é (or í) is not required in the Ulster dialect, but it IS required everywhere else.

Another way,

Feirmeoir is ea d'athair.

Would I be right in saying this is the usual way of saying it in Munster Irish?
