It is the subjunctive I meant alright.
It's not just petrified phrases, in Conamara anyhow. It is often used to wish something, in toasts, and in particular in prayer. I like to use it in circumstances like this. But one can always use the imperative instead. And as with all translations there is always more than one way to say it correctly. The more suggestions the better.

. It took me awhile to spot it because I learn things by ear, because I can't read that well. The future (when followed by a pronoun) and the subjunctive often sound very similar to me, especially in the céad réimniú; so go bhfaighe sounds like go bhfaighfidh tú, to me.
