Hey all,
Some of you already know that I write a couple of weekly blog posts for Bitesize Irish Gaelic. I'd like to solicit your input on topics to write about.
The "Urban Irish" and "Irish Language Apps" topics I asked about earlier this month are both going to be topics of upcoming blogs. Some other titles I've done in the past several months include:
Irish Translators (as in the problem with machine translations)
How to speak "Celtic" (this was actually a brief description of the various Celtic languages)
A Linguistic Love Affair (about my own journey toward learning Irish)
Learn an Irish Christmas Carol
A Happy Irish New Year (tips on keeping your resolutions to study Irish)
Gimme that Old Irish Alphabet (this is actually addressing those requests we get for something "written in Old Irish," when the person usually really means "written in Irish script" or "written in Ogham")
Just about any topic related to the Irish language or to Irish culture and traditions is fair game!
These posts are short (usually around 1000 words), and are generally intended to be informative, but not instructional (in other words, they're meant to be interesting, and may include some points of grammar or spelling, but aren't intended to be lessons).
If you have any thoughts as to what might make a good blog topic, let me know!

Irish dialects- you have probably did this already!
The biggest misconceptions about Ireland!
The biggest misconceptions Irish people have of Americans!
Seanchas stories
Sean-nós
(possibly the difference between sean-nós music and singing and new age Irish music based somewhat on the old-style i.e the jump from individual performances to accompanied performances (Dubliners, Danú etc...) I like to call this an nós nua!
I hope there's a few ideas there!
