doesnt work for me still, I dont have Saorview though just the regular TV remote, cest la vie. I totally agree they need to ditch forced subtitles now (assuming I can get them somehow)

Cuireann na fo-theidil as go mór dom. Is lú an taitneamh a bhainim as an gclár mar gheall orthu. Tá mé báite i mbéarla thart orm. Ba dheas an rud é áit teilifíse a bheith agam ina mbeinn in ann éisteacht agus smaoineamh i nGaeilge gan béarla a bheith os comhair m'aghaidh amach i gcónaí. Ní thugann TG4 an áit sin dom, faraor. Ba mhór an rud é an rogha maidir le fo-theidil a fháil.
I find the forced subtitles annoying. It takes from my enjoyment of the programme. With so much English around me, it would be nice to be able to have a space on TV in which to listen to and think in Irish without English in my face. This is not provided for on TG4, unfortunately. A choice regarding subtitles would certainly be nice.

Ros na Rún is produced by an independent production company http://www.tyroneproductions.ie/ros-na-run/ you want to get onto them about removing the subtitles

Removing the subtitles altogether would piss off a lot learners and monolingual viewers. There should be way to turn the subtitles on and off, but Tyrone Productions would have no control over that. TG4 would have to work it out with the various TV providers.
