I can attempt to figure out how to say "Hello, my love" (Dia dhuit, a mhic chroí or Dia dhuit, a mo chroí ?), but is there a more casual common way to say it in Connacht? Compare to our American English, "Hey baby" or "Hey babe." Is there an equivalent?

Also, how would one answer the phone in Irish?

The vocative particle and the possessive pronoun are not normally used directly together in Irish, so "my love" is a chroí or a ghrá when addressing someone.

Dia dhuit, a chroí.
Dia dhuit, a ghrá.
Dia dhuit, a ghrá mo chroí.
Dia dhuit, a rún mo chroí.
Dia dhuit, a stór mo chroí.

Not sure about a more casual way though ...
