Hi. I am stumped by this word - Fhlairheas.
It appears in a song sung by Clannad long ago, Gaoth Barra na dTonn.
So I am supposing it is a Donegal word, maybe. But I cannot find a translation for it anywhere, except Google translate, that gives 'abundance'.
Is anybody able to shed any light on this at all please.
The context is the following - I give the whole verse as taken from songsinirish.com
's gímse Pádraig agus Naomh Chonaill caol
Nach n-iarraim aon Fhlairheas i ndeireadh mo shaoil
Ach m'anam bheith seoladh fá'n duilliúr donn
Tá ag fás fa do chladaí a Gaoth Barra na d'Tonn
go raibh maith agat!

Well if it is fláirtheas with a t, then that would be a way of pronouncing foláirtheas, which would be an abstract noun formed from foláir.
