Absolutely fantastic. Thrilled.

I just received the last batch of translations for another character, so this is the last one to go! The plan is to send this off to the publisher in the next couple of days...and I can just keep adding the Gaelic while it is being proof-read.

You guys are amazing. Thank you so much. Is it too soon to add the next one? I'm truly sorry (honestly)...but seeing each step gives me a burst of adrenaline.

Again (and again): Thank you.

Yes, it's too soon to post another tranche. The last two need some reworking. I 've no time just now and there are a few things in the English which are unclear and will need explaining. I'll maybe give it a go later.

Then add I will. This one is a bit longer. It’s just that it’s the last section for the second part of the book. I do apologize…but I want this one out of the way. After this anything else will be shorter. For everyone involved so far: a HUGE thank you.

Our lives
through the eternal run.
In the world, here
what you see,
and realms hidden
where so few have seen.

“Alone you may seem
and lonely may feel,
just as the flock,
which you do guide,
there are more like you
within the city walled.
A remnant there is
in hiding,
underground
They are for war prepared,
that even darkness evil
is unable to see.
Alone are you not
this you will see.
Lutetia—
your calling will hear
but for the light
you must wait.

“The scales of justice
beyond this life are tipped,
the scales of life
unbalanced may hang.
Both shall be tipped
in all the realms we reside
when the final price is paid;
loving death in sacrifice.”

“Four stars hidden
last seen in ages past
have yet their light
unto men again to reveal.
This sign is but just one;
others, still to come.
Look to the stars,
but the depths
must not be ignored.
For there is light from above
and from depths unexpected.
The light from above
within the stars shining,
as signs to read.
The light from below
hidden in the depths
as a sign to guide.
This light from below
glitters and dances,
not that of a fire
but as ice
under the moon’s light
glistens and sparkles.”

The scales of justice
beyond this life are weighed,
the scales of life
unbalanced may be.
Both shall be tipped
in all the realms
in which we reside
when the final price is paid:
loving death in sacrifice.”

I'm hoping that some other people will look at the previous translations (all of them) and correct/comment on them. This new one will take a while. If you need something to show your publisher I can do it soon but you shouldn't take it as a final version. I may even send it to your email so that it doesn't clutter up the post here until we can have some agreement on what has been posted before.

I think the above translations are very good. There are a lot of options in translating and, of course, corrections, polishing up after the whole thing has been done. I have made an effort to translate your recent posting with the understanding that it needs checking, and at least a few, if not many changes.

Cuireadh créachtaí an bháis tar éis leigheas

An é seo an bealach a iompraíonn duine,
bealach a gcaithfear banríon a chóireáil,
banríon a bhfuil grá chomh daor aici duit?

Ardaigh suas, a chara,
dhúisigh thú ó do chodlata;
tá sé faoi dorchadas go mbrionglóinn tú.
ach tá sé sa solas go gcaithfidh tú.

Bíonn pian ag baint linn,
ach bíonn pian ag glaoch orainn.

Caoin, a chara,
deora caillteanais,
lig duit sreabhadh a dhéanamh.
Cé a bheidh géar pianmhar
beidh soiléir ar do fhís,
cuirfidh do chroí in iúl.
Na rudaí a chonaic tú,
bheadh daoine go leor diúltú,
má thugtar an seans
isteach i bhfíoracha i bhfolach, a fheiceáil.
Má chonaic tú
an dearcadh seo
gan cuimilt a sheachaint,
bheadh e seo cruthúnas neamhthillte
d'anam fada marbh.

Leanbh Lutetia (Luitesia?)
le hintinn ó chroí,
cosúil le bád
ar muir, ar leataobh
le gach tonn tuirseach
níos faide on fhírinne,
gan ancaire,
‘sé tusa féin, ag sruthán breise amach.
Ní chrochann
an saol sa domhan seo
ar na scálaí
atá le feiceáil.
Ní bhraitheann
an ceartas sa saol seo
ar an saol atá cothromaithe
idir a mheastar go maith agus olc.

Just a few tweeks.
And I'm not sure of some of the spellings in my own one.

Tá créachtaí an bháis leigheasta.

An é seo an bealach a iompraíonn duine é féin,
an bealach a chaithtear le banríon,
banríon a bhfuil grá chomh daor aici dhuit?

Ardaigh suas, a chara,
dhúisigh as do chodlata;
Is faoin dorchadas a mbrionglóinn tú.
ach caithfidh tú maireachtáil san t-solas.

Ní bhíonn pian ag baint linn,
ach bíonn pian ag glaoch orainn.

Caoin, a chara,
deora caillteanais,
lig dóibh sreabhadh.
Cé go bhfuil d’amharc searbh agus pianmhar, glanfaidh sé.
Leighaiseoidh [spelling?] do chroí.

Dá mbeadh an rogha ag duine
is minic a nduailteach sé breathnú isteach sna fíoracha i bhfolach
atá feicithe agatsa. {I don't quite understand this bit}
Dá bhfeicfeá [spelling?] an radharc seo gan gol
bheadh sé mar chruthúnas neamhthillte
go raibh d'anam i bhfad marbh.

A Leanbh Lutetia,
le hintinn ó chroí,
cosúil le bád bainte
ar muir, gan ancaire,

sin thusa imigh le sruth.

Get more input on this. I think this as well as the above translation(s) may need editing.

Is trí na réigiúin
agus níos mó eatarthu
go bhfuil a fhios agam a fheiceann tú.
Fanann an cogadh le fir agus le saol araon,
tá a fhios agat é seo,
mar a dheimhníonn tuar.
Caith do chuid súl do na flaithis
agus féachaint ar na réaltaí anois.
Tá scéal inis ag na réaltaí
do na glúnta -
scríobhadh é ó thosaigh an t-am.
Sa ghlóir go léir
lonraíonn sí a áilleacht
ach fós gan chríochnú go dtí seo.
D'imigh ceithre réaltaí a chonacthas
in amanna ársa as amharc fadó fadó,
ach nochtfaidh siad a n-ghlóir arís,
agus nuair a bhíonn na scálaí neamhchothromaithe
daingníonn an tuar
go mbeidh forneart an ifreann ag uallfartach.
Éistíonn ceithre réaltaí an glaoch seo,
ceithre réaltaí d'fhir ársa;
beidh na scálaí ceartais,
scálaí na saoil
croitheadh, neamhchothromaithe.
Tá na ceithre réaltaí sin anois níos gile
dóibh siúd a roghnaíonn a fheiceáil.
Tá réalta amháin - Tau,
fós i bhfolach,
ach beidh a solas ann arís.
Beidh na scálaí ceartais,
na scálaí saoil,
cothromaithe
trí íobairt.

Again just a few tweeks.
SEE THE POST ABOVE THIS TOO.

See the two posts above this.

Tá muid ag síoraí ag rith tríd an tsaoil seo, tá reigiúin le féiceáil, agus reigiúin eile i bhfolach nach bhfuil féicthe ach ag comhar dhuine.

Is cosúil go bhfuil tú leat féin,
agus b’fhéidir go bhfuil tú uaigneach,
Ach cosúil leis an tréad a strúireann tú, tá tuilleadh mar thú istigh sa gcathar caochta.

Tá iarsmaí i bhfolach, faoi thalamh,
tá siad réitithe chun cogaidh.
Níl dorchadas an t-olc fiú in ann iad a fheiceáil.
Feicfidh tú nach bhfuil tú leat féin, a Lutetia -
Cloistear do ghlaoch,
ach caithfidh tú fanacht leis an tsolas.

Tá scálaí ceartaise an tsaoil eile iompaithe,
tá scálaí an tsaoil seo crochta go neamhchothromach.
Beidh chaoin cheann iompaithe [spelling] sna réigiúin ina chónaíonn muid, nuair a bheas an praghas deirenach íochtha;
Grá don bháis tríd íobairt.

Táthar fós ag fanacht leis na ceithre réalta, a chonacthas
in amanna ársa fadó, a gcuid solas a thaispeáint do dhaoine arís.
Níl anseo ach comhartha amháin,
tá tuilleadh le theacht.
Breathnaigh ar an réalta,
ach ná déan dearmad ar an duibheagán.
Mar tagann solas gan coinne ó thuas agus thíos.

Is comhartha le léamh an solas a thagann óna réalta.
Bíonn an comhartha atá i bhfolach sa duibheagán ann le muid a threoiriú, bíonn an solas seo ag rince agus ag lonradh.
Ní cosúil le tine ach mar oighear,
atá ag drithligh le solas na gealaí.

Tá meáchán curtha le scálaí ceartaise an tsaoil eile,
Tá scálaí an tsaoil neamhchothromach.
Beidh chaoin cheann iompaithe [spelling] sna réigiúin ina chónaíonn muid, nuair a bheas an praghas deirenach íochtha;
Grá don bháis tríd íobairt.

Other translators:
Is “iompaigh” the best word for “tipping”?

And just because I highlight some words doesn't mean there aren't other words that could be wrong.

Rkshaw - In the future only one paragraph at a time.
People dread starting on long passages. And it also puts off correctors.

A late Merry Christmas but an on time Happy New Year to everyone. Thank you so much for the help.

Thank you for the advice... I’ll keep it shorter from now on. My excitement got the best of me.

Happy New Year and, again, a huge thank you.

Stay safe tonight.
