Hello! I'm getting a trinity knot tattoo with "live a beautiful life" above it and was wondering if someone could help me translate this please?
Mair saol álainn would be a direct translation, but that sounds very odd to me. I don’t think it works.
I think in Irish, you’ll have to turn it around and instead say ‘live beautifully’ (which is really what ‘live a beautiful life’ means).
Mair go hálainn sounds less strange to me, at least. Or
caith do shaol go hálainn ‘spend/live your life beautifully’.
