I was hoping if someone could give me the translation for the phrase

For those I love, I will sacrifce everything...

some of my comrades in arms have it as tattoos, but i think it would be better translated.. thanks in advance for your help.

Chaillfinn an domhan mór ar son mo mhuintire.
I would lose the whole world for the good of my people.

That's the closest I can get to your original phrase. Maybe someone else can give you a more literal translation. “My people” in Irish is a general term for family, but it can also include close friends and neighbours.

I don't know a better way to say “those I love” or “loved ones.” Someone more fluent could have a suggestion.

Over at IGTF we ended up with a literal translation:

Dhéanfainn gach íobairt dóibh siúd a bhfuil grá agam dóibh "I’d make any sacrifice for those I love"

I like Mick's use of mo mhuintir.

Perhaps the following hybrid version would work:

Ar son mo mhuintire, dhéanfainn gach íobairt ... "For my loved ones, I would make every sacrifice ..."

Await further input ...
