As promised and as a way of paying forward my request for the lyrics to Caledonia (as Gaeilge) in another thread here are the Irish lyrics to Auld Lang Syne. I have a large collection of Irish lyrics and would be happy to post requests,if I have them.

Ó bhun go barr na tíre
‘s ar fud an domhain seo beidh
Na Gaeil ag casadh lámh le lámh
ar oíche Auld Lang Syne

Chorus
Ar oíche Auld Lang Syne seo muid,
ar oíche Auld Lang Syne
Ag casadh amach anocht le bród
ar oíche Auld Lang Syne

Ó Mhumha go Gaillimh
‘s ar aghaidh ó Thuaidh agus fud
fad Chúige Laighean
Beidh glór an Daingin buailte libh
ar oíche Auld Lang Syne

I should say that the above lyrics are not a direct translation from the original but a new version.

Is it weird that I sang that in my head to 'hear' it properly and it's the end of May and now I want new year fireworks..... :/

I'm having trouble understanding this line, though I understand all of the words:
Beidh glór an Daingin buailte libh
Would someone please translate it for me? GRMA!

The voice of D. will be close to you.
(Féach FGB: buail le, ponc a ceathair: buailte le = beside, close to)
