Hi everyone!
I am new here...
I am going on vacation tomorrow and am getting a tattoo while I am there.
I need advice on how to translate the following quote into Irish Gaelic [in honour of my grandmother]:
"Never again"
I am looking for CO and SL so I can make a decision from there.
Thank you so much!
Cordelia.
There are several ways to say this, but probably the shortest way to say it completely would be:
"Ní choíche arís!" ("not ever again") [enlarged so that you can see the accent mark over each letter "i"]
In Ulster, the word
ní ("not") can sometimes be left out of negative expressions when it can be understood without being stated, which would result in just "
Choíche arís", but the result might be a bit cryptic in this case, so I'd suggest going with the full expression, since it's not much longer.
