Not sure where you're going without the rest of the sentence, but if you mean "It was in this email," I'd say "bhí sé sa riomhphost seo...". Wait for more input on that, though. I'm not exactly having a great brain day.

Déarfainn:

Ba sa ríomhphost seo a … = In this email … (… I wrote that I love you)
Or simplier:
Sa ríomhphost seo a …

Déarfainn féin agus mé ag caint (don chéad cheann agat) "ba é sa...". (It was in this email that..) An bhfuil sé seo mícheart?

Tá.

Ba é sa -> 4 shampla (chuile cheann acu as "Lá") https://focloir.sketchengine.co.uk/auth ... +%C3%A9+sa
Ba sa -> 262 shampla https://focloir.sketchengine.co.uk/auth ... uery=ba+sa

Ní ceart fofhaisnéis a úsáid ach roimh ainmfhocal cinnte. (m. sh. Ba é an ríomhphost ...)

One uses "ba é" when the predicate is a definite phrase : ba é an duine é...
But in that sentence, the predicate is just an adverbial phrase so one wouldn't use "é" in my opinion.
Just as one says "is ansin a fuair mé seo" and not "is é ansin a fuair mé seo".
