Hi
Put me in the category of beginner although it has been a couple of years since I started studying. I am solitary in this effort despite the on-line groups that I belong to. I don't have a plan but like to challenge myself. I am intrested in poetry and ideas so, often, these are not the best route for a beginner in any language. It does give me fun trails to follow. My interest in Gaeilge is something that has been around for many, many years. Partly stemming from the fact that I am a fine blend of French Canadian and Irish, partly stemming from my spiritual path in Irish Druidry, partly from the fact that I love languages. I speak French and English and a French dialect called Acadian, live in Albain nua (Nova Scotia), and have so far found this forum to be peopled by very helpful and knowledgeable language-learners.
Delighted that your experience here has been so positive. There are some very knowledgeable members who are only too delighted to share their expertise. Hang out here as much as you like.
