Buail/bain a clog a haon - means the clock strikes one (o'clock), but I would like to say -

One o'clock sounds - would that be - Buailtear/baintear a haon a chlog ?

Here is the context -

Twenty-four hours
Make a night and a day;
Never a minute will one stay.

One o'clock sounds
To the owl's cold cry;
Two, as the flame of the fox
Glimmers by.
