How would you pronounce the name Íde? In particular, how is the name pronounced in Munster? Is it "EE-duh"? Am I right in saying that the Munster slender d is pronounced the same as an English d? If not, what is the difference? Maybe you could add the Munster pronunciation to Forvo!

As I recall from some dialect books the d was palatised but more lightly by being pressed forced more strongly as compared to the English d, but their ds today don't sound much different as you say
