The difference between the dialect of such places as Bearna agus Carna isn't very much, almost the same really (yes I am well aware of the differences) which leads me to believe that the difference between the Irish of the area where Dubh Linn / B'l'Áth Cliath is now, and districts just a days march away in Co. Meath which still had native speakers in 1901 must not have been great.

Theres a good few differences but you'd have to be very observative to know, anyway theres hardly any native Irish left in Bearna.

Nearest place would be Na Forbacha where there would be natives, or even An Spidéal now days.

Actually I do know and have known several native speakers from Bearna, as well as others from other districts around Cathair na Gaillimhe, such as Eanach Dhúin, Caisleán Gearr, Mionloch srl.
