Pronouncing initial ch as an h is something from Northern Donegal, and it concerns only a few words, most keep a "real" ch sound.
But it's right, if course (it is the "k" pronunciation that isn't right).

I recall being told many years ago that people who used a h-sound instead of a ch had been taught by a sloppy teacher. If I'm not mistaken that h-sound can be heard in and around Na nDaoine in Donegal (or it was 50 years ago)

where is that?
I know people pronounce broad ch as [h] (when the ch isn't at the beginning of a word, when it's not before t and at the beginning of a few words) in Gweedore, Cloghaneely, Tory and actually, in all the places on the northern side of Gweedore River. And sometimes in Rann na Feirste too, I think.

Na Dúnaibh (Downings) We used to have rather spectacular ceithre coiníní (BBQs) on the strand in the 1950s. For some reason we always referred to the town as Na nDaoine because grown-ups were considered to be the enemy. Rebellion didn't wait for the 1960s!
