Sterling work!

Here it is in full:

Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme;
Remember me to one who lives there,
For once she was a true love of mine.

An bhfuil tú ag gabháil ag aonach Scair
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím
Beir mo bheannacht chuici
Mar, fadó ba shearc mo chroí í

Tell her to make me a cambric shirt,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
Without any seam or needlework,
Then she shall be a true love of mine.

Abair leí léine cambric a dhéanamh dhom,
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím
Gan aon uaim ná aon fuáil
Ansin, is searc mo chroí í

Tell her to dry it on yonder thorn,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
Which never bore blossom since Adam was born,
Then she shall be a true lover of mine.

Abair leí é thriomú ar an spíon sin thall,
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím
An spíon nach raibh faoi bhláth ó rugadh Adam,
Ansin, is searc mo chroí í

Now he has asked me questions three,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
I hope he'll answer as many for me
Before he shall be a true lover of mine.

Anois tá trí cheist curtha aige orm,
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím;
Tá súil 'am go bhfreagróidh sé an oiread céanna dhomsa,
Sular searc mo chroí é

Tell him to buy me an acre of land,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
Betwixt the salt water and the sea sand,
Then he shall be a true lover of mine.

Abair leis acra talún a cheannacht dhom
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím
Idir an fharraige agus an gaineamh mara,
Ansin, is searc mo chroí é.

Tell him to plough it with a ram's horn,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
And sow it all over with one pepper corn,
And he shall be a true lover of mine.

Abair leis é threabhadh l’adharc reithe,
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím
Agus cur ina iomláine é le gráinne piobar amháin,
Agus is searc mo chroí é

Tell him to shear it with a sickle of leather,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
And bind it up with a peacock feather.
And he shall be a true lover of mine.

Abair leis le corrán leathair é bhearradh
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím
Agus le cleite peacóga a cheangal
Ansin, is searc mo chroí é

Tell him to thrash it on yonder wall,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme,
And never let one corn of it fall,
Then he shall be a true lover of mine.

Abair leis é bhuladh ar an mbhalla sin thall,
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím
Agus ná lig do ghráinne amháin thitim
Ansin, is searc mo chroí é.

When he has done and finished his work.
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme;
Oh, tell him to come and he'll have his shirt,
And he shall be a true lover of mine.

Nuair a bheas an obair críochnaithe
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím
Abair leis a thíocht agus beidh a léine réidh
Ansin, is searc mo chroí é.

Here is the version I wills sing tonight:

Ansin, is searc mo chroí í

Anois tá trí cheist curtha aige orm,
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím;
Tá súil 'am go bhfreagróidh sé cé’amsa
Sular searc mo chroí é

Abair leis acra talún a cheannacht’om
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím
Idir an fharraige agus an gaineamh mara,

Abair leis é bhuladh ar an mballa sin thall,
peirsil, sáiste, marós, agus tím
Agus ná lig do ghráinne amháin thitim
Ansin, is searc mo chroí é.

Nuair a bheas an obair críochnaithe

gabháil

In Conamara,in this context, it's pronounced as "goil".
But maybe you'd prefer the standard "ag dul".

And we definitely want to see it on youtube. :D

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

Thanks for the tip.

I did 'perform' it last night, at a local bar that does karaoke, starting with Óró Sé, then Sweet Comeraghs and finally Scair. The first two were easy as I had learned them before, but the last not so much.

I think I've gotten the bug now. I want to learn Mo Giolla Mear, Báidín Fhéilimí and Dúlamán next

When I'm better at them, I'll put them on facebook!

Actually, I might do them acapella and put it on FB since it sounds better to me that way anyways. Last night I had a friend do the piano with me as I sung
