I'm surprised to hear that. I would be more familiar with 'teach a thógáil' agus 'síneadh a thógáil'. :nail:

Dhéanfaidh mé teach mór do mo sheanbhean bhocht…

I have just googled 'teach a thógáil' and there is a fairly impressive list there.

No one is saying teach a thógáil is wrong, a Shaoirse. But neither is teach a dhéanamh wrong and that's what we were presented with to work with. No point "correcting" what isn't wrong.

Fair point. I should have read the first entry properly. I thought we were just looking at how best to say, 'I built myself a house'. I'll stay quiet on this one now.... :bolt:

Bail ó Dhia oraibh agus bliadhain úr mhaith dhaoibh !

Bhí mé as baile ar feadh tamaillín agus ní fhaca mé an ceist faoi an teach a thógbháil.
Bheadh sé 'Thóig mé teach dhom fhéin' i gceanntar Conamara tá mé a' ceapadh.
