Am I correct in assuming that you would like people to offer suggested corrections? If so, can I move this to the Cúinne Foghlaimeoirí - Learners' Corner for you? (If not, we could move it to the Scéala section.)

A warning though, from my experiences at Daltaí and IGTF, the correction process can sometimes feel like you are being attacked by a pack of piranhas.

On the other hand, it's a rough road to travel but you get to your destination a little faster.

Yes. either please move this to Cúinne Foghlaimeoirí or just to the "Craic" section (that would probably be better) or the Scéala (really wherever it best seems to work for your site). I don't mind some corrections, but I generally think spelling corrections are a bit of a waste of time. I need correction on word usage and sytax, etc. (You could correct me so other beginners aren't learning a bunch of bad stuff. Spelling can be found in a dictionary...the other cannot. I often write quickly just to see what I know and I'll look to a dictionary to reinforce in my mind, spelling, etc. I am skyping in Irish now a couple of times a week with people I met at Oideas Gael. I just spent 3 weeks in the Gaeltacht. It was my first experience at trying to converse, and it is much more important to me at present than having perfect spelling. I have alot of "freeze up" when I'm talking and I just need practive. I only had 3 weeks of doing it and that is not much. If I can write a little 'beginners blurb" on the "craic section" or wherever you want to put it, it may help me hang on to what I have, and it can help beginners like me. On Daltai, the conversation is just a bit to advanced for me to get into it and I'm sure others have the same problem. I benefit more from the Gaeilge Amhain on Facebook.....real conversation about what real people are doing right now. That's the spoken Irish I'm looking for. I submitted a little story "Mo sheachtain" to Daltai last week and Aonghus helped with it, corrections, etc.....that is perfect because I then used it to help other learners on Skype. We read it to each other, reread it, while each listened, and then formulated questions.
